Now you have your beautiful handmade strap how do you best look after it?

Our straps are very durable and are for everyday use, so they of course may get a little dirty or need a little TLC. 
The good news is that they are made from a thick internal webbing and wrapped with a fabric outer so you are able to wash & iron them. 

We do recommend using a gentle or non-abrasive detergent, to make sure that your hardware can stay strong & stable!

For light dirt just pop your strap into a padded intimates washing bag and add in the washing machine with a set of towels to reduce the clanging of the hardware. 

For harder stains or marks, you may wish to handwash your strap but we recommend trying to keep the hardware out of the soak. You can then pop into your padded intimates bag and in with a load of towels. 

Hang out to dry flat in a warm shady spot so that you don't fade your fabric and once completely dry use a warm iron to smooth over your strap to remove any creases in the fabric.
